Donkeys of Silverton -

Four donkeys live in Silverton; Jenny, Deggy, Jack and Jill. They’re owned by the locals but they have more than twelve thousand hectares to roam, before they hit fencing at the perimeter. Patsy from the Silverton Hotel also owns a number of other free-range cattle that are free to wander as they please - they’ve got access to water stations out in the desert plains, so sometimes only return to town a couple of times a year. The donkeys prefer to stay around town though, as they often visit the pub around dusk for carrots.
