Hey Groovers, I’m Em!
I’m a 60s & 70s inspired freelance photography fiend based in quirky Northcote, Melbourne. I take snaps both on film & digital of faces, fashion, places and offbeat & eccentric love. I love to create entire shoots where I take on the role of photographer, stylist, creative director & set designer. I’ve been lucky enough to have my snaps published in a bunch of groovy mags like Fashion Journal, Collective Hub, Polka Dot Bride, Sticks & Stones Agency, The Age and Frankie, as well as being a finalist for Emerging Artist of the Year 2018 at FortyFiveDownstairs Gallery, and a finalist in the Frankie Good Stuff Awards 2019!
Most days you can find me capturing moments and light on my 79′ Canon AV-1, likely listening to Bowie.
Elopements + Alternative Weddings

Alternative weddings and elopements are my JAM. I photograph ALL weddings and elopements on film as well as digital- there’s just something about capturing light on film that digital has never been able to replicate, plus it has that rad, retro, old school vibe which I’m super into. If you wanna read a lil more about my wedding packages and FAQ, you can here.

I’ve made a super handy lil PDF with all the need-to-know- pricing, packages and more. You can suss it out here

You can also check out a couple of my favourite weddings- like Ang + James’ bowls club elopement, Claire + Andy’s surprise backyard wedding and Dominik + Javier’s couple session in Castlemaine.
Fashion + Portraits
I’ve been shooting fashion for a while now and have been lucky enough to work with some pretty rad brands- from Gorman, Dangerfield and Alannah Hill, to rad international brands like The Bearded Gypsy Vintage (UK), and local makers like the incredible Closet Mod, Uncle Phuncle and Gaal. I also double as a 60s + 70s stylist, location scout and creative director. It’s up to you whether you wanna send me your clothes and I can do ALL the things, or I can just rock up to your shoot and take the snaps.
Band Promo + Album Art
When I first picked up a camera I shot solely bands. Now I shoot a whole lot of other stuff too but doing promo shots and album art for bands is still one of my fave things to shoot. I’ve even been lucky enough to photograph some really rad local folk- like StonefieldPerch Creek and even work on some concept art as part of my series Space Cowboys.
