A 70s inspired collaboration with some of my favourite local labels!
Secondhand News was inspired by the incredible Firecracker event space – a former mechanics warehouse in Northcote that’s been converted into an amazing space with a sunken lounge, 70s shag rug and the most amazing natural light.
I absolutely LOVE sourcing styling pieces from local labels to use in my shoots. For this collab I borrowed some pieces from Melbourne local Uncle Phuncle– who creates amazing 60s inspired fitted dress with matching jackets and belts, along with stunning printed blouses, Closet Mod– an Adelaide based handmade label creating the cutest minis and 60s throwback prints. I stumbled across Neon Punk a while back and have been wanting to borrow her earrings for a shoot forever! She’s also based in Adelaide and creates super cute earrings- like bowie vibe lighting bolts. All their creations tied in so well together!
